Using the site

thegreenhouseplanner.com is operated by Westernmost LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

A planning aid, not an engineered design

The Greenhouse Planner produces greenhouse sizes, ventilation and support checks, drawings, framing, sheet layouts, cut lists, materials lists and printable plans from the options you choose, using published university extension guidance, the polycarbonate maker's published tables, standard framing conventions and simplified structural checks. Those sources did not review or endorse this site. The results are estimates to help you plan. They are not an engineered design, they are not reviewed for your site, and they do not account for your soil, drainage, exact snow and wind loads or local rules.

Some cases are outside what the plan covers and need your local building department or a licensed engineer: snow or wind loads beyond the maker's tables, exposed or high-wind sites, a lean-to fixed to a ledger on a house wall, and anything a permit requires. Before you build, check the plan against the rules that apply where you live, get any permits or approvals required, and ask a qualified professional where appropriate.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the safe construction of anything you build, for anchoring it against wind, for choosing suitable materials, for working safely with tools, and for complying with all applicable laws, codes, permits, zoning rules and homeowners association rules. Quantities and prices are estimates: check them, and allow for mistakes, defects and local board lengths before you order.

No warranty

The site, the designer and the plans are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep the calculations correct, but we do not guarantee that they are free of errors. The only exception is the plan error guarantee on a builder's plan you buy, described below.

Buying a builder's plan

The designer, its summary PDF and the free designs cost nothing. You can also buy a builder's plan: a PDF made for the exact greenhouse you design, for a one-time payment of $29 in US dollars, the same price in every country. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. The plan is a digital product delivered immediately: after payment you go to a download page, and we email you a receipt with a link to your plan. Your plan does not expire. Whenever you need it again, go to Get my plan and enter the email address you paid with: we email you a fresh link, which works for 48 hours. Save a copy of the PDF when you download it. Each plan shows the buyer's email address in its footer. If a payment is refunded, its plan can no longer be downloaded, and while a payment is disputed with the card issuer, its plan is not available.

Plan error guarantee and refunds

If you find an error in your plan, we fix it or refund you. An error means the plan does not match the design you bought, or a measurement, quantity, drawing or calculation in it is wrong.

To use the guarantee, email hello@thegreenhouseplanner.com from the address you paid with, within 30 days of your purchase, with your order number, the sheet (page) and what is wrong. We check it against the design you bought and answer within 3 business days. If it is an error, we fix it and send you a corrected plan at no cost. If we cannot fix it, we refund your payment in full, and the plan can no longer be downloaded.

These are not errors under the guarantee: changing your mind, or changing your design after you buy (a plan for a different design is a new plan); store prices or stock that changed after the date printed in the plan; local rules, permits, your homeowners association or a professional asking for something different from the plan, which the plan tells you to check; your site, soil and climate, including snow and wind beyond the maker's tables; and mistakes made while building or printing.

Because the plan is drawn for your design and delivered immediately, we do not refund a change of mind. If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to withdraw once the download starts. If the download never worked or you were charged twice, contact us and we will put it right. None of this limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westernmost LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of the site or of any plan, size, list or check, including damage to property or plants, injury to people, material costs, fines or the cost of changes required by a local authority.

Plans and content

You may use the designer and print the free designs for your own personal, non-commercial projects, including sharing a plan with the people helping you build and with your local authority. A builder's plan you buy is licensed for building one greenhouse of that design; please do not share it beyond the people building it. You may not resell the plans, republish the drawings, or offer the designer's output as a product or service without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms takes away the mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country.

Changes

We may update the site, the calculations and these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Plans you already downloaded are not updated automatically, so generate a fresh plan if you come back after a while.
